The distant history, dating back to the 11th century, at the time when Andrija II Arpadović became the Croat-Hungarian king, is proved by the Kneginec Tower, which with its proud beauty attracts the views of passers-by and visitors.
It takes them back to the ancient times of kings, serfs, princes and vassals, and tells the story of the fight for the rule of the two brothers of the king, the fortified town and the legend of the beautiful princess by which Kneginec was named.
