The Centre’s mission is to showcase the cultural and historical heritage of the county’s lesser-known rural areas in a modern, engaging way using cutting-edge technology. The exhibition is divided into themed zones—from the origins of the universe and the Big Bang, through volcanoes, caves, and Neanderthals, to the arrival of Romans, Avars, Huns, and Croats, all the way to mythical figures that bring history to life.
Visitors are greeted by Tomo II. Erdödy, the first hereditary prefect of Varaždin County, via holographic projection. An interactive panel featuring sound, visuals, maps, and video further highlights the beauty and significance of the county’s rural regions.
